Our organization creates happiness with our Cards for Seniors program

To bring joy, comfort, and connection to seniors through heartfelt, personalized cards that remind them they are loved, valued, and remembered. Our mission is to brighten their days, uplift their spirits, and combat feelings of loneliness by fostering meaningful, intergenerational bonds through the simple but powerful gesture of a handwritten card. 

Please review the Cards for Seniors guidelines and be assured our seniors are so appreciative and grateful for every card they receive.

If you would like to request cards for seniors, please nominate a person or senior community that would appreciate the extra love.  

Our volunteers can send cards for all holidays, celebrations, seasons, birthdays, anniversaries, or just because.

Card recipient options:

Provide only the first name the senior and a designated person or facilitator to receive the cards, review them and deliver them to the senior. 

You can send a short biography or story about the senior and why you are requesting cards for them.  We can post the story on our website and social media and encourage others to send letters and cards to the senior (via your address).  

Wishbound is a volunteer organization that offers several ways people can help seniors have moments of happiness by providing thoughtful engagements.  Our most popular program is Cards for Seniors. Volunteers around the world create and send greeting cards year-round.  

We could always use some help.  

1.  Handwrite cards, short stories, quotes, inspirations, affirmations or poems that can be given to seniors

2.  Share drawings, pictures or another type of artwork that can be sent in a card.

3.  Become a volunteer card writer for Wishbound

4.  Purchase Cards from Wishbound

5.  Donate new cards with envelopes, postage stamps or small gifts seniors would appreciate

6.  Share our information with others
